Carl Daikeler is a Co-Founder and CEO of Beachbody.com, which includes top brands like P90X®, Power 90®, Slim in 6®, INSANITY®, and Shakeology®. While there was no shortage of workout DVDs prior to Beachbody, the combination of Daikeler’s personal pursuit to maintain his own health and fitness and his perception of the health care crisis due to obesity has redefined in-home fitness. What is now referred to as “The Beachbody Approach” to in-home fitness programs has gained the attention of more than 10 million satisfied customers and generated over $1.3 billion in sales…. and he’s just getting started.
Shakeology is my breakfast every morning and is one of the great products from Beachbody. It is so great that it has its own blog!
Mike Ryan – Mike is my Coach and friend. He has helped since January 2012 to get me back into the shape I needed to be in order to begin competing in triathlons again. Through his constant encouragement, wealth of knowledge regarding the programs and supplements that Beachbody has to offer, and just being there to talk with during the difficult moments in life, Mike has reopened my eyes to what is possible through goal setting and reaching those goals. Thank you Mike! Its my turn to help others as you have helped me and countless others.
Jade Fitness – Author Jade Nuyen is a fellow Beachbody Coach and an inspiration to many. She did not come from an athletic background but has found her calling later in life and is constantly impressing me with her zest in helping others while getting great results personally. Please take some time to visit her blog and learn more about what drives her!
Gina Anderson Wood – Gina is a beautiful Mom who makes it happen! Works full time and still manages to work out everyday and coach others on how to be successful as well. Gina is definitely someone you want to follow!
Eric Pelz – I met Eric at the Beachbody Summit in Las Vegas in June 2012. We have kept in touch through Facebook and I enjoy that he is adding a Vlog to his site, which is something I might be trying in the near future. Way to go Eric!
Chocolate-Covered Katie – I don’t know Katie personally, but I can tell you from working through her recipes, I love what this woman thinks up! Her site is devoted to “anyone who wants to be healthy but refuses to give up eating delicious desserts in the name of health.” Katie says, “Happiness and health go hand-in-hand, and how can you be happy if you’re not eating what you truly desire? My favorite food is chocolate, and I eat it at least once a day. I’ve never been happier. Or healthier.” Brava Katie! I couldn’t agree more!
Mels Sweet Life – I found this blog to be interesting as well. If you know me, you accept that I have a huge sweet tooth. Sometimes you just gotta have something sweet and it doesn’t matter if it is healthy or not. The Sweet Life is my fall-back to Calorie Confusion. Use these recipes at your own risk!
Skinny Taste – This is a wonderful site for finding healthy recipes that taste amazing. You will see me borrow recipes from time to time that I find interesting. “Gina Homolka is the author, photographer and recipe developer of Skinnytaste.com which features delicious, healthy, low fat, family-friendly recipes several times per week. What originally began in 2008 as an idea to marry her two passions, great food and beautiful photography, Skinnytaste was born and has developed into a highly rewarding labor of love reaching over 2.5 million unique visitors monthly.”
TJ Fry began swimming competitively at the age of 6. In triathlons, he competed in his first triathlon at the age of 12. At 14, he was first overall at the Ironkids National Championship (this is where we raced against each other). The following year earned a spot on the junior national team to represent the United States as the youngest ever in the first ever Triathlon World Championships, and repeated the achievement the following year. Upon completing collegiate swimming career and obtaining a degree in Biological Sciences, he returned to triathlon as a professional. Check out his informative blog!
