W – LA Triathlon Championship Series – Olympic Distance (Swim 1k / Bike 26.4k / Run 8.8k) ate a GU  Energy Gel on the bike as well as added AcidCheck Granules and Pink Himalayan Salt to Water
L – Double Double, Fries, Pink Lemonade
D – 3 Burritos, 2 Tacos, Nachos

Great race today! I had a good and efficient swim followed by a short jog to the transition area. Transition went fast and I was off on the bike. I felt good on the bike. Quads were still tight from racing at the Wildflower Triathlon last weekend but I worked it out. Definitely felt stronger on the hills; attacking them better without fatiguing. My only problem was, I was riding mostly alone, stuck behind a few guys that were ahead of me from the swim that I never caught and a group of guys behind me that finally caught up in the last couple of miles. Then it was on the the run leg where running in back to back triathlons within six days really rears its ugly head. My legs felt heavy and tight but I managed to hold it together through to the end. This will be my last race for May. Next Race will be Los Angeles Triathlon Championship Series Race #3 – Olympic Distance on June 8, 2013.
